~ drive toward east to Karak Highway. After passing by Batu Caves, .You should maintain on the second or third lane of the road.

~turn left or be in the lane with signboard “Genting Highway, UIAM, Janda Baik”. Highway Code # E8

~just after half an hour you drive through a tunnel and turn left into a signboard reads “Genting Highland, Janda Baik ”.

It is a very easy to recognise the landmark .As you could see the eatery or rest area. And yes! There is KFC (fried chicken outlet) here.

Janda Baik river

Janda Baik…a short getaway from the city to Pahang kampung (village)

All this while we thought that Janda Baik have a waterfall. We were amused when told by the village folk, there was no waterfall only the river!

Moreover, we wonder why so many private chalet and outward bound training centre mushrooming in this area.

In addition, the visitor rented the chalet just to stay by the river.

Amazing, isn’t it!

So we decided to check this out.

Janda Baik is located approximately 45-50 km from Kuala Lumpur. It has a well maintain road and accessible by car.

Along the way to the river, you could enjoy the well tender fruit orchards. I noticed the farmers here planted their orchards with lots of durian tree.

Durians, being major fruits of Pahang will be the most sought after fruit of the season.

A few restaurant serve local dishes. I will suggest you to buy or cooked you own meal before coming here.

Or you can stop at one of a unique restaurant there call “ Andak’s Café”

There are a few resort here in Janda Baik .You might want to check out with the owner on jungle tracking activities. But be sure to check your survival kit list and upgrade if ....

the river ...

There are not many activities here. All you can do is to take a plunge into the icy cold river.

However, it’s a very nice getaway from Kuala Lumpur city as you will enjoy the panoramic view of the valley along the way to this village
