About me...

Hi, my name is Eng Kuan, you can call me EK if you prefer. As sometimes it is quite difficult to correctly pronounce my name. I’m the owner of this site.
I hope you enjoyed reading my journey around this country.
I was born and raised in Kelantan, the east coast state of Malaysia. And “migrate” to Kuala Lumpur in 1993 to study in La Salle Secondary School in Petaling Jaya.
In 1994, I finished school and worked in an international bank as a clerk. Here I’m, working for a bank, freight forwarding agent, telecommunication company, hotel and timeshares agent and charge card company. As customer service officer, so I guess I know a little bit of something from the industry.
I worked myself up and changed job quite a number of times until given opportunity to work in Singapore for three years.
In the year 2003, I came back to Malaysia and worked as what I know best in my career. As Customer Service Officer in a charge card company, handling inquiry and complaint. However, for some reason knew to them I was asked to leave the company in a not so good manner.
Well, that is a little a bit about the person who run this website. However, this is not the site intention to let the world know about myself.
This site is about driving in Malaysia. Which to many Malaysian in my humble opinion is just a task to get from point A to point B . Or worse , is to go to work place !
Driving is an enjoyable experience! Imagine sitting in the driver seat and looking out through the wind screen as though some “play” or “movie” live happening in front of you. Be it an old man crossing the road or a group of monkeys “laughing” at your wrong turning!
Drive Malaysia …how I got an idea to write this site
I always love driving and traveling. I’m doing a lot of traveling during my time with freight Forwarder Company.
However I did not take noticed of it and never has a note or log in any personal journal on my traveling through out Malaysia.
Well almost… as I was given a vast territory to charge in Malaysia.
I love surfing too and like to try out business. As I always understand, to be financially free I need town a business
Is Free Website Hosting Really Free ?
So, here I go trying out from one business to another just to gained experience. During my “journey” of business discovery, I try out some web building too. Guess what? I tried quite a number of “free website”with“300 free submissions for USD20/year”
Well, nothing is free in this world. The fact that my site was going nowhere in the Google ranking makes me feel very disappointed.
And the web hosting company send newsletter on daily basis to advertised their “expertise” on how to get my site to target market with a small fee.
Well, a free website is not free after all…
This is until I found Site Sell while researching for an internet marketing business. I found that this company was giving free education on how to build a profitable internet business.
This time, again I failed to get a good result. It is because I did not follow or understand correctly the tutorial given to me. So, I decided to change to theme of the website and follow my interest.
I decided to write about travelling.
Doing some research on this subject, I found out there were millions of site doing the same theme.
It again I go back to the notebook for reference and some idea.
Hey… I found something I love to do and write about. A traveling website with a driving tips and guide about Malaysia. Hence the birth of www.drive-malaysia.com
It was a relatively new website, and I knew many people would love to drive for their vacation and want to know the driving condition to certain destination.
I’m lucky to have a wife and baby who love traveling too.
During her pregnancy, my wife will ask me to drive her around town even though it is 0200 hrs in the morning!
The same goes to my baby, she will “stress out” if I did not take her in the car every two days.
“Like father, like daughter …huh? “
Now, I back or shall I say “we” are back on the driving journey, experiencing new routes and recollect or re-traced the old routes.
How Site Sell Help me?
Yes, it doesn’t comes free or cheap to Malaysian standard .
Site Sell had in fact given out free education that is invaluable lesson to take on.
The concept is very simple to follow through and understand the content. The owner of this company Dr.Ken Evoy had in fact simplify it the web building .
He had created a system that could be understood by even a person who is not well versed with web building.
I would not able to explain the concept in this website . This is because I believed to impart this knowledge completely and free to you by proving the link to a very useful note given by Site Sell.
Back already ? Good!
See , how easy the block building of Site Sell system. And the C-T-P-M is make sense too!
CASE STUDY:A true story of SBI User
"My goal was to build an online business that would generate an income equal (or greater, of course) to the salary I was earning. And also wouldn't be dependant on any country's economy (as my country's economy is in shambles...)." ~ Elad Shippony coolest-parties.com http://case-studies.sitesell.com/Ng1.html#INFOPRENEUR
"With the addition of Content 2.0 (which allows visitors to contribute pages and comments), my page count has increased by nearly 300 pages within the past six months. That's not including the articles I've written and added to the site. Traffic is strong and my rankings are always improving." ~ Michelle Schill style-hair-magazine.com http://case-studies.sitesell.com/Ng1.html#WAHM
"I was skeptical that I could get the visual feel that I wanted with a template-based builder. Little did I realize that SBI does not limit you to templates -- I had the option to "start from scratch" to create my own Web page elements for a truly one-of-a-kind look. I took the plunge -- "jumped in with both feet", as you say -- and as you can see, I used the SBI builder to make a beautiful site. I was surprisingly impressed with the flexibility of the builder." ~ Marney Makridakis Artella Words And Art http://case-studies.sitesell.com/Ng1.html#EGOODS
"Having the opportunity to share Vieques and Puerto Rico with so many people around the world is a great satisfaction. As a bonus, I get to go on a tax-deductible vacation every year. I can visit my beautiful island, ride my jeep, take lots of photos, meet great new people, and write travel guides about places I love. I felt that money would just be the icing on the top. Of course, I did not realize how much icing my cake would have." ~ Luisa Cupeles viequestravelguide.com http://case-studies.sitesell.com/Ng1.html#TRAVEL
A recent change of employment and a rising in fuel cost had taken a toll on my travel site plan. Now I'm relying on the sale of e-book and anything I think worth your money in this site to support my family and this site.
I do hope that your support by purchasing the item relevant to you will keep me going and maintain this one of a kind site about Malaysia.
Thank you for reading and feedback . Hope we can learn from each other.
